Factors influencing attitudes toward distance education in a sample of students learning in a disadvantaged area

Abstract Investigating disadvantaged children is a priority area concerning education and health. However, little attention has been paid to pandemic-specific research in recent years. In the present study, we aim explore attitudes toward distance sample ( N = 305) of 7–8th grade students studying settlements first wave coronavirus pandemic. Attitudes towards were measured using 16-item tool. Factor analysis was applied detect factors education. Variables influencing these by linear regression including well-being, perceived stress support, academic achievement, sociodemographic background. The results indicate that four (learning difficulties, poor health, time saving safety, learning preference) can be distinguished. effects gender, type settlement, deprivation objective financial status significant regarding preference perceptions Regarding health indicators, protective role support from teachers hindering indicators found. performance insignificant.
